Kidz welcomes young people aged 7 upwards who would like to take part in musical theatre.
As a member of Kidz you will be able to:
- Take part in fantastic musical shows, pantomimes and concerts
- Learn from professional performers, directors and choreographers
- Gain confidence in yourself and your abilities
- Make new friends and join in social activities
- Have fun and discover talents you never knew you had
Our Groups
We have three performance groups, divided by age:
Our Activities
- We create at least 3 large scale musicals each year as well as a number of concerts at our theatre in St Ives.
- From time to time we perform at the Minack Theatre and other regional venues.
- We rehearse regularly on Wednesday and Friday evenings and occasionally on other evenings and weekends.
- We offer specialist coaching by professional theatre practitioners
- We run an annual four day workshop in theatre skills
- We provide social events and fun activities for our members and volunteers

How to join
We normally recruit for new members in August & February (before we start work on a new show).
Kidz R Us are recruiting for their new season of shows on Wednesday 29th August. Auditions will be held at St Ives Theatre for youngsters between the ages of 6 and 18 who wish to join this highly praised company.
Children are invited to attend a fun workshop morning at the theatre beginning at 10am, followed by a short individual singing audition later in the morning with an aim to finish by 2pm depending on numbers. There’s no pressure during the workshop, it is designed to be fun, to see how enthusiastic the youngsters are and how they work as a team.
