A timeless classic filled with fun and pure
imagination, featuring many great Disney songs including: “I’m
Late,” “The Un-birthday Song” and “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah” and
performed by Kidz R Us younger group.
Review Writing about Kidz R Us is like blowing a dog whistle inasmuch as the harder you blow, the more you risk people being unable to hear. Each time our local youth theatre group stages a new production, the reviewer risks a surplus of superlatives that, from being congratulatory may become just excess verbal baggage. It would be easy to say that for their age Kidz casts are always excellent, easy and true but condescending: their performances regularly reach standards for which any cast of whatever age would be proud. Their production of Alice is confidently fast paced and beautifully executed from the opening sequence with the predictably late and appropriately over the top White Rabbit, through all of the wonderful adventures that will be familiar to those who have read the books on which the original 1951 Disney film was based.
