"The Likes of Us" was written by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber when they were at college together in 1965. Their first collaboration, it tells the story of Dr. Thomas Barnardo and his campaign to rescue destitute children in 19th century London. Hidden from view for 40 years, "The Likes of Us" has only been performed twice before, in concert versions, and the Kidz production will be the first full staging of the work.
Review 'The cast of 81 were beautifully costumed, supported by a full orchestra, performing to West End Standards, on an amazing set that brings the audience right into the squalid world which led Dr. Barnardo to set up his first Orphanage.'
