The Wizard of Oz Follow the Yellow Brick Road to the St Ives Theatre this half-term to see The Wizard of Oz, in a wonderful production of this all-time favourite by Kidz R Us. When a twister hits a Kansas farm, little Dorothy Gale is whisked far away, somewhere over the rainbow. After landing with a bump on the Wicked Witch of the East, she is befriended by Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, heralded by the Munchkins and faces the wrath of the Wicked Witch of the West. Travel with Dorothy, Toto and friends, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion – through memorable adventures and unforgettable songs, such as Over the Rainbow, Ding, Dong the Witch is Dead and If I Were King of the Forest – on their quest to reach the mighty Wizard of Oz, who alone has the power to send Dorothy home… or so she thinks! Don your ruby slippers and set off to see the Wizard… the wonderful Wizard of Oz!

HONK! JR Honk! Jr is a funny, family-friendly musical based on one of the world’s favourite fairy tales, Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling. A story of personal triumph over the odds, it’s as much about people as ducks. Ugly, as we all know, is born a duckling but it soon becomes clear that he is no ordinary member of his family. Mocked in the farmyard, pursued by the ever-hungry Cat, Ugly finds himself lost on a nearby marsh in the middle of a duck shoot and embarks on an odyssey through the countryside, meeting a battery of colourful characters and finding himself, and love, along the way. Feel your heart sink and fly as Ugly’s fate unfolds, along with a fantastic, sing-along score, a bucketful of comedy and a gaggle of oddball characters. Make sure you join the flock at The Minack and St Ives Theatre for Honk! Jr this spring/summer season!

Charity Fashion Show The second Charity Fashion Show follows last October’s autumn/winter event, which drew a packed house for an evening of stylish entertainment. On the catwalk this time will be dazzling spring/summer outfits, bags, swimwear and accessories from top, local independent retailers such as Dune, Birds of a Feather, Natural Balance, L.A.F.F., Bride! and Just a Dream. The evening will also include hair and make-up demos, tips on creating a hand-tied posy from Wheal Sara Flowers, a Zumba flash mob, a deluxe raffle, stalls and more! Entry includes a goodie bag and free glass of bubbly.
